Saw this on Business Week. I think the man raises some valid points. Apple products have long tempted me to switch from the hell that is the PC world but the pricepoint has always been a tad too high. I tend to “convert” to PC terms and find that I usually get a far better deal.
Of course I’m still waiting for the day that Apple finally decides to release their OS on the PC platform. How I shall enjoy removing Windows from my system. MUHAHAHA!

December 12th, 2004 at 9:23 amI have had macs since the apple II. People don’t realize why macs are so good. My dual 1.25 G4 hasn’t crashed since I got it. Look for a cheap eMac with a 1.6 G5 in early 2005. Also who says macs aren’t cheap? http://www.mac-discounter.com sells all macs with a $300 rebate. That will make the new eMac $599. There are cheap macs out there, its just that people don’t look hard enough.

December 12th, 2004 at 2:57 pmI have since picked up a G4 Powerbook and I have to say, the price is justified. The mac is a MUCH better way of doing all things computer-related. My only grouse is the lack of a video player with full-screen support. Paying for Quicktime Pro is a jack.
